Settling In

Starting nursery can seem like a daunting experience for parents, but our teachers and teaching assistants are very experienced at helping both parents and children feel comfortable and settled in their new surroundings.

During the first couple of days at nursery, we will ask parents to bring the children for a shorter period to give them the opportunity to explore their new classroom and bond with their teacher. All children are unique and so we alter our settling in period to reflect each child’s individual needs.

Some children may be absolutely fine, whereas others may cry and become quite distressed. We offer a shorter day initially, to allow the children to become accustomed to the nursery environment. Everything we do is with the children’s best interests as our number one priority.
